Anatomy & Physiology of Forrest Yoga CET

An 8-Day CET for Yoga Teachers of Any Asana Style or Lineage. This 42-hour CET is a Core Module towards the Forrest Yoga 300-Hour Certification.

  • An understanding of functional anatomy is critical for yoga teachers: to be able to identify weak and under-functioning muscles and which yoga poses to use to engage them, build strength and flexibility.

  • We will explore the anatomy of the structural and cosmetic muscles that make up ‘The Basic Moves’ of Forrest Yoga and how exactly the practice changes our physiology.

  • Daily asana with an emphasis on a theme will give you the opportunity to apply these concepts in your own practice, learning how to modify based on each person's biomechanical patterns and unique needs.

  • Afternoon sessions will focus on how to bring these deep experiences of anatomy, personal modifications and healing to yourself and your students. We will cover the additional anatomy of directional movement patterns, such as forward bends, back bends, inversions, arm balances, standing poses etc.

  • This immersive experience will enable practitioners to have a clearer understanding of why we do what we do in the practice and charges us with the confidence to feel that we have the drive and commitment to share our message together.

  • This training is open to any teacher who has completed 200hr TT with any yoga school.
